Any move to the United States – currently favored by some speculation about a Las Vegas venue – would require a fresh agreement with Joshua’s camp and renegotiation of the existing terms.

Saudi sports patron Turki Al‑Alshikh, who is financing the event, has not formally asked for a relocation, and Hearn stresses that the fight will proceed in the UK unless one of the fighters loses a pre‑fight bout. Dana White of UFC/Zuffa Boxing has claimed a promotional role, but Hearn insists the contract expressly bars White or Zuffa from being lead promoters, and that any involvement would need Joshua’s approval.

The debate has drawn commentary from other boxing figures, with former champion Chris Mannix warning that moving the match to the US would be a “slap in the face” to British fans. Negotiations over date, venue and broadcasting rights continue, keeping the fight’s future uncertain but firmly anchored in the UK for now.
