EDEKA Hartmann and ONgineer launch LiON Cloud Splitter pilot

EDEKA Hartmann and ONgineer have launched a pilot project featuring the new LiON Cloud Splitter. The initiative is being implemented at EDEKA Hartmann’s location in Stemwede, marking the first use of the LiON Rack with integrated Cloud Splitter technology in a retail environment.

The LiON Rack is designed as an autonomous solution, utilizing solar power and direct charging technology. It is engineered for flexible placement without the need for extensive civil engineering or underground wiring.

The LiON Cloud Splitter serves as a digital advancement of the previous LiON Splitter, enabling networked charging infrastructure. This allows site operators to access usage statistics, such as charging frequency and battery types. Furthermore, the system supports integration with customer loyalty programs and provides an electronic unlocking function for the charging stations.
