Eden Sessions attracts nearly 60,000 fans in Cornwall

The Eden Sessions in Cornwall has concluded one of its most successful seasons, attracting nearly 60,000 music fans across 10 concerts. The event series, staged at the Eden Project, was part of the venue's 25th anniversary celebrations and featured its largest lineup to date with 28 artists.

This success comes amid a challenging period for the UK live music industry, which has seen a decline in the number of festivals nationwide due to rising costs and shifting audience behaviors. Despite these pressures, the Sessions reported a Net Promoter Score of 79 and noted that one-third of the attendees were first-time visitors.

Director Simon Townsend highlighted that the event supports over 200 jobs and contributes to Cornwall's reputation as a cultural destination. He also noted that recent government business rates support for live music venues is a positive step for protecting the industry's ecosystem.
