Edendork secures first Tyrone Senior Football Championship title

Edendork St. Malachy’s claimed their first-ever Tyrone Senior Football Championship title with a 1-14 to 1-13 victory over Errigal Ciarán in a dramatic replay at O’Neills Healy Park.

Following an initial stalemate, the replay was decided in stoppage time when Edendork goalkeeper Niall Morgan converted a 45-metre free to snatch the win. Errigal Ciarán had appeared to be in a strong position after Peter Harte scored in the 62nd minute, but a late foul on Con Kilpatrick provided Edendork with their final opportunity.

Earlier in the match, Errigal Ciarán held an early advantage through scores from Odhran Robinson, Shea McDermott, Peter Harte, and Peter Óg McCartan, alongside a goal from Padraig McGirr. Edendork responded with a decisive burst before halftime to shift the momentum.
