Edgar Canet secured his first RallyGP victory at the 2026 Rally de Marruecos, finishing just 1 minute and 2 seconds ahead of Daniel Sanders in the general classification. Canet, riding for KTM, maintained a steady pace during the final stage to overcome Sanders, who finished fifth in the last special.

In the FIM Rally-Raid World Championship (W2RC) standings, Daniel Sanders remains the leader with 87 points. Luciano Benavides finished the rally in fourth place overall, a result that moves him into second place in the championship standings with 74 points, positioning him as the primary challenger to Sanders ahead of the final round in Abu Dhabi.

Tosha Schareina finished the event in sixth place. After a difficult start to the rally, Schareina noted that the result significantly impacts his championship aspirations, leaving him in third place, 13 points behind the leader. The season will conclude with the final race in the United Arab Emirates.
