Actor Edgar Vivar, known for his roles as ‘Señor Barriga’ and ‘Ñoño’ in the series ‘El Chavo del 8’, has announced he will undergo a complex spinal rectification surgery to correct a spinal deviation. The 77-year-old actor stated that the procedure is a medical necessity due to age-related issues.

The surgery is scheduled for June, and Vivar expects a recovery period of approximately six months, which will necessitate a temporary withdrawal from public life and professional activities. He described this period as an ‘involuntary retirement.’

In anticipation of the risks associated with a major surgery at his age, Vivar has prepared his will. He noted that this decision was made to organize his estate and prevent potential family complications or inheritance disputes, rather than out of fear regarding the procedure.
