Edgardo Mannucci exhibition honors sculptor in Fabriano and Arcevia

An exhibition titled ‘Mannucci. Fuoco e genesi’ is being held in Fabriano and Arcevia to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the passing of Edgardo Mannucci, a prominent Italian sculptor. The exhibition, curated by Fabio Marcelli, runs until January 10, 2027.

Mannucci, born in Fabriano in 1904 and deceased in Arcevia in 1986, was a key figure in Italian informal sculpture. His work is characterized by a deep engagement with metal, utilizing processes such as welding and melting to make the material an active participant in the creation of space and form. The exhibition aims to place his work in dialogue with other artists and movements of the 20th century, highlighting his evolution from post-cubism to his mastery of metalwork.

The displays are hosted at the Polo Museale di Zona Conce in Fabriano and the Centro Culturale San Francesco in Arcevia, supported by the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Fabriano e Cupramontana.
