Edgerrin James addresses son's dismissal and substance abuse

Former NFL running back Edgerrin James has issued a public plea for support for his son, Jizzle James, following the basketball player's dismissal from the Charlotte 49ers college basketball program.

In a social media statement, Edgerrin James revealed that Jizzle is currently dealing with substance abuse and is “not in the right state of mind right now.” The elder James urged the public to offer emotional support, such as encouragement and patience, but specifically cautioned, “DO NOT give him money, valuables, or anything material,” stating that providing such items would only feed the problem.

Jizzle James, who previously played for the University of Cincinnati before transferring to Charlotte, was recently removed from the Charlotte roster. His dismissal follows a period of social media activity involving heated exchanges with representatives from Cincinnati regarding merchandise disputes.
