EdgeTech+ 2026 to showcase autonomous driving and SDV software
The EdgeTech+ 2026 event, scheduled for November 18–20 at Pacifico Yokohama, will feature significant developments in automotive software and autonomous driving technologies.
Chinese autonomous driving firm Momenta is set to deliver a keynote address at the Automotive Software Expo during the event. Vice President Lao Shih-hung will discuss the company’s transition from data-driven methods to “physical AI.” Momenta utilizes a “data flywheel” approach, using driving data from mass-produced vehicles to continuously train and improve its end-to-end (E2E) AI models. The company aims to move toward world models and reinforcement learning to help AI understand and predict physical interactions in the real world. As of April 2026, Momenta’s driving assistance systems have been implemented in over 800,000 vehicles across more than 70 models.
Additionally, Ice Square will exhibit at the event, focusing on solutions for software-defined vehicles (SDV). The company will showcase IBM Engineering Lifecycle Management (ELM) tools, including DOORS for requirement management and Rhapsody for model-based development. Their presentation will highlight how AI can be integrated with engineering data to improve efficiency and traceability in the complex development processes required for modern mobility.
