Edi Iordănescu advises Daniel Bîrligea on professional focus

Former Romanian national team coach Edi Iordănescu has issued a strong advisory to FCSB striker Daniel Bîrligea following a difficult start to the 2026–2027 season. Bîrligea, who has struggled with efficiency and injuries, has failed to score in recent appearances, including a Conference League match against FK Auda.

Iordănescu, who previously brought the 26-year-old into the national team setup, emphasized the need for the player to remain competitive and productive. He urged Bîrligea to focus on his profession to maintain his status and secure potential future transfers to major European leagues.

Iordănescu noted that Bîrligea's lack of efficiency might be linked to mental and emotional factors. He warned that without improved performance, the player risks wasting his potential and missing opportunities to play in more significant international championships.
