Albin Kurti appoints 27 deputy ministers in Kosovo

In Kosovo, Prime Minister Albin Kurti has appointed 27 deputy ministers across various government departments, including Education, Foreign Affairs, Finance, and Economy. This follows the formation of his new administration.

Simultaneously, Kurti met with political representatives of Albanians from the Preševo, Bujanovac, and Medveđa regions. He emphasized the Kosovo government's commitment to protecting their rights, identity, and improving their daily lives, calling for political coordination among these groups.

In Albania, the High Court has upheld the decision to keep Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj in pre-trial detention. Veliaj faces 13 charges from SPAK, including passive corruption, money laundering, and abuse of office. His lawyer, Plarent Ndreca, argued that the decision violates the principle of proportionality and undermines the democratic mandate of an elected official.

Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama has also sent a message of support to Kurti, expressing readiness to strengthen bilateral cooperation to accelerate both nations' paths toward European Union integration.
