Edin Dzeko and Bosnia’s ‘Zmajevi’ capture fan attention ahead of World Cup
Bosnian striker Edin Dzeko and his wife Amra Dzeko (formerly Silajdžić) shared a family photo that quickly amassed over 48,000 likes on Instagram. The couple, married since 2016, have four children together – Una, Danijel, Dalia and Hana – and Amra also has a daughter, Sofia, from a previous marriage. Amra left a modelling and acting career in Los Angeles to join Dzeko in Bosnia, where they live a quiet family‑focused life.
At the same time, Bosnia and Herzegovina’s national football team, known as the “Zmajevi”, recorded a decisive victory over Qatar, a draw with Canada and a loss to Switzerland in the World Cup qualifying group. The squad’s average height of 187.2 cm ranks it among the tallest in the tournament, highlighting the team’s physical presence alongside Dzeko’s leadership on the pitch.
