Edinburgh Rugby to host Stormers in upcoming URC clash
Edinburgh Rugby is set to host the Stormers at Hive Stadium this Friday night in a United Rugby Championship (URC) fixture. Both teams enter the match following away victories in the opening round of the season.
Edinburgh coach Sean Everitt has emphasized the need for greater consistency, noting that the team must build on their 34-29 win over Ulster to become genuine contenders. The Scottish side expects support from internationals Pierre Schoeman and Ewan Ashman in the pack, alongside flyhalf James Grayson.
The Stormers, coming off a 29-15 win against Connacht, aim to leverage their physical presence. Forwards coach Rito Hlungwani indicated the team may utilize a 6-2 bench split to maintain pressure through the forward pack. While the Stormers have won four of the last five meetings between the clubs, they have struggled in Scotland, failing to win in their previous six visits.
