Edineț Municipality launches stray dog management program

The Edineț Municipality has launched a practical program to manage stray dogs. The municipality has allocated 100,000 lei for veterinary services and procedures, establishing a contract with the ‘PrimVetFarm’ Veterinary Clinic at the College of Veterinary Medicine and Agricultural Economy in Brătușeni.

To support the initiative, the municipality has purchased microchips, a microchip reader, identification tags, and veterinary booklets. Additionally, three specialized cages for the capture, transport, and temporary housing of animals have been acquired, along with food for animals undergoing medical procedures. The municipality is covering the costs for sterilization, rabies vaccination, microchipping, and identification.
