Edineț targets 1 billion lei investment and 1,000 new jobs

The municipality of Edineț has approved a new development strategy for the 2027–2031 period, aiming to transform the area into a regional socio-economic hub. The plan involves estimated investments of one billion lei and the creation of over 1,000 new jobs.

Key pillars of the strategy include industrialization and improving living standards to combat local population exodus. The local industrial park has already secured approximately 20 million euros in investment, creating about 400 jobs. A British investor has also committed to tripling the capacity of an industrial wiring factory within the park, which is expected to bring hundreds of additional well-paid positions.

To support this growth, the municipal strategy includes preparing 15 hectares of industrial land, constructing new halls, and expanding energy capacities. Additionally, the city aims to modernize infrastructure and utilities to attract new residents and improve the quality of life in the northwestern region.
