Edirne Social Solidarity Center launches new term for women

The Edirne Social Solidarity Center (SODAM) has launched its new educational term under the theme ‘One Woman, A Thousand Hopes.’ Operating under the Edirne Governor's Office Social Assistance and Solidarity Foundation, the center aims to provide vocational training and personal development opportunities for women.

During the opening ceremony, Social Assistance and Solidarity Foundation Director Tezcan Fidan emphasized that the center is designed to help women improve their manual skills, gain self-confidence, and contribute to their family budgets. Edirne Deputy Governor Güher Sinem Büyüknalçacı noted that such social support strengthens community trust and solidarity, stating that ‘one opportunity can change the future of a person, a family, or even a generation.’

AK Party Edirne Deputy Fatma Aksal also highlighted the center's role in increasing women's participation in economic life and strengthening their social relationships. The event included a performance by the Sevgili Günebakanlar Group, a musical ensemble composed of women.
