Edis Pala presents Spring/Summer 2027 collection at Milan Fashion Week
Bulgarian designer Edis Pala presented his Spring/Summer 2027 collection at Milan Fashion Week, featuring a theme centered on the metaphor of a hedgehog to explore human loneliness and trust. The presentation utilized a cinematic soundtrack mixing Bulgarian songs ‘Povey, vetre’ and ‘Byagstvo’, which reportedly moved international guests and critics.
The collection showcased technical textile innovation, specifically a custom knitting technique using two hooks and fine natural leather strips to create sculptural forms and heavy textures. The presentation was a collaborative effort by a Bulgarian team, including accessories by Kros Toskov, handmade wigs by Dimitar Avramov, and nail art by Kristiana Peycheva.
Reflecting on the achievement, Pala noted the intense preparation required since April and the significant pressure of performing on a global stage. He described the experience as a hard-won victory following a period of intense criticism and relentless work in his atelier.
