Edita Majić transitions from acting career to monastic life

Former Croatian actress Edita Majić, once recognized for her talent and beauty, has transitioned to a life of religious devotion. After deciding to leave her acting career in the early 2000s, she became a nun at the Saint Joseph Monastery in Avila, Spain.

Reports indicate that her monastic life involves significant asceticism, including living in cells with straw beds and lacking central heating or hot water. While some past claims suggested her lifestyle change was a response to personal struggles, Majić and her family have denied such accounts. In 2017, she reportedly sought a more radical form of living through eremitism, living in solitude in the desert.
