Edmonton and Calgary host seasonal events and markets in October

Various seasonal events and markets are scheduled across Edmonton and Calgary for the beginning of October.

In Edmonton, the 40th annual Edmonton International Film Festival is ongoing, featuring diverse global films, filmmaker discussions, and gala screenings. Other local activities include the Edmonton Corn Maze in Spruce Grove and the return of Pumpkins After Dark at Borden Park.

Calgary is hosting several markets throughout the month. The Maple and Makers market features local artisans on October 3, while the Calgary Farmers’ Market is hosting a Colossal Carve event with live pumpkin carving on October 3 and 4. Additionally, the Triwood Community Association is holding its annual fall market on October 4, and the Wandering Souls Thanksgiving Night Market is scheduled for October 10.
