Edmonton Elks defeat Winnipeg Blue Bombers 22-19 on walk-off field goal
The Edmonton Elks secured a dramatic 22-19 comeback victory over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers at Commonwealth Stadium, led by a 40-yard walk-off field goal from Vincent Blanchard as time expired.
After a dominant first half by Winnipeg, which established a 16-0 lead, the Elks mounted a second-half rally. Edmonton's defense stifled the Blue Bombers, holding them to just 38 yards in the second half. Quarterback Cody Fajardo contributed 259 passing yards, a passing touchdown, and a rushing touchdown, while Justin Rankin added 93 rushing yards.
