Edmonton Elks extend contract for GM Ed Hervey

The Edmonton Elks have signed vice-president of football operations and general manager Ed Hervey to a contract extension. While the specific terms of the deal were not disclosed, the club stated that Hervey will remain with the organization for the “foreseeable future.”

Hervey, who began his second tenure with the team in November 2024, has overseen a significant turnaround, leading the Elks to a 13-5 record and first place in the CFL West Division. This follows six consecutive seasons in which the team missed the playoffs.

Elks president and CEO Chris Morris credited Hervey with rebuilding the club's foundation and establishing a culture of accountability. The team is scheduled to host its first home playoff game since 2015 in the West Division final next weekend.
