Edmonton Elks clinch West Division top seed after win over Blue Bombers

The Edmonton Elks have secured first place in the CFL West Division following a 35-27 victory over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. The win, highlighted by Cody Fajardo throwing two touchdown passes and rushing for two more, ensures that Edmonton will host the CFL West Final at Commonwealth Stadium.

As a result of the Elks' performance, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers are locked into second place in the West Division. While the Bombers have been mathematically prevented from surpassing the Elks, they still maintain a possibility of earning a postseason berth depending on the outcome of the Calgary Stampeders versus B.C. Lions game.

The B.C. Lions, who have clinched a playoff spot, are scheduled to host the Western Semi-Final on October 31 at BC Place. Other teams that have already secured postseason berths include the Montreal Alouettes, Edmonton Elks, and Toronto Argonauts, while the Ottawa Redblacks and Hamilton Tiger-Cats have been eliminated.
