Edmonton hosts diverse cultural festivals and concerts
Edmonton is hosting a variety of cultural events and performances throughout late August and September. Current highlights include the Edmonton International Fringe Theatre Festival, which is recognized as one of the largest and longest-running festivals of its kind in North America.
Other local activities include the Alegria! Latin American Cultures showcase at the University of Alberta Botanic Garden and the “When Shadows Lie” escape experience at Fort Edmonton Park.
Looking ahead to September, the city's concert lineup features several major acts, including Foo Fighters at Commonwealth Stadium, Journey and Bring Me The Horizon at Rogers Place, and the Purple City Music Festival.
