Edmonton Oilers expect Zach Hyman return to lineup

The Edmonton Oilers are preparing for an upcoming road trip, including a game against the San Jose Sharks, amid updates regarding their roster health. Star forward Zach Hyman is expected to return to practice on October 9 following injury setbacks. While his availability for the game against San Jose on October 10 remains uncertain, he is anticipated to return to the lineup for the matchup against the Los Angeles Kings on October 13.

Despite missing several players during the preseason and early season, such as Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, Matt Savoie, and Mattias Janmark, the Oilers have maintained a strong offensive start, averaging 5.50 goals per game over their first four games. Coach Mike Babcock has been managing depth and line combinations, including the use of Ike Howard on the fourth line, while waiting for key veterans to return to full strength.
