Edmonton Oilers see early success and positive injury updates

The Edmonton Oilers are experiencing a strong start to the season despite facing significant injury challenges. Forward Vasily Podkolzin has emerged as a key contributor, recording seven goals and nine points in seven games. Playing alongside stars Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl, Podkolzin’s power forward style has helped the line achieve a high expected goals percentage.

Regarding roster depth, the team is receiving positive injury updates. Zach Hyman is expected to return to the lineup for the upcoming rematch against the Utah Mammoth. Additionally, Colton Dach and Jake Walman are likely to suit up soon. Ryan Nugent-Hopkins is on track to return late next week, while Jason Dickinson is anticipated to rejoin the team during the next homestand.
