Edmunds announces top-rated cars for 2026

Edmunds has released its Top Rated awards for 2026, highlighting standout vehicles across various categories based on recent testing.

The Honda Civic Hybrid was named the best hybrid car of 2026, earning a rating of 7.9 out of 10. The compact vehicle features a gas-electric powertrain producing 200 horsepower and 232 lb-ft of torque, achieving an EPA-tested 49 mpg combined.

The Toyota Camry was selected as the best overall car of 2026 with a rating of 8.4 out of 10. The redesigned midsize sedan now features a hybrid-only lineup. Additionally, the Tesla Model 3 was recognized as the best electric car of 2026 following recent updates to its styling and suspension.
