Ednalva Bezerra Women's Reference Center marks 19 years of service
The Ednalva Bezerra Women's Reference Center (CRMEB) in João Pessoa is celebrating 19 years of service. Established by the municipal government, the center serves as a critical public resource for combating domestic and family violence.
Through the Secretariat of Public Policies for Women, the center provides multidisciplinary support, including social assistance, psychological counseling, and legal guidance. Nena Martins, the Secretary for Women in João Pessoa, noted that the institution focuses on helping women break the cycle of violence and gain autonomy. She highlighted a significant achievement, stating that no woman served by the center's services has become a victim of feminicide.
