Edo and Kogi police launch joint security operations in border towns

Police commanders from Edo and Kogi states have launched a collaborative security initiative to combat crime in border towns. Edo State Commissioner of Police Patrick Daaor and Kogi State Commissioner of Police Naziru Kankarofi met to coordinate strategies aimed at dislodging criminal elements from shared border regions.

During a joint operation, officers inspected the Agomi forest along the Abuja/Okene highway, identified as a major hideout for kidnappers. Authorities noted that criminals frequently target long-distance travelers in the forest between 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM. The collaboration follows a directive from the governors of both states to enhance security and has already resulted in the destruction of several criminal hideouts in remote forest areas.
