Edo Governor Okpebholo assures diaspora nurses of state safety

Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo has assured members of the Nigerian-American Nurses and Nursing Association (NANNNA) that Nigeria and Edo State remain safe despite ongoing security challenges. Speaking in Benin, Okpebholo commended the association for traveling from abroad to support healthcare delivery in the state.

The Governor encouraged diaspora members to coordinate with the newly established Edo Diaspora Agency to help mitigate logistical burdens during their visits. He expressed commitment to improving security further in the coming months to facilitate business and travel.

NANNNA Board Chairman Grace Ogiehor-Enoma detailed the association’s ‘Take Me to Your Village’ programme, an initiative focused on identifying and supporting struggling primary healthcare centres at the grassroots level through direct intervention.
