Edo State begins construction of new general hospital in Iguobazuwa

The Edo State Government has commenced construction of a modern two-storey general hospital in Iguobazuwa, the headquarters of the Ovia South-West Local Government Area. The project aims to improve access to secondary healthcare services for residents of the Ovia Federal Constituency and surrounding rural communities.

Deputy Governor Dennis Idahosa performed the groundbreaking ceremony on behalf of Governor Monday Okpebholo. The planned facility is intended to serve as a referral center and will include essential infrastructure such as a pharmacy, a mortuary, and staff accommodation to ensure the availability of medical personnel for emergency and extended-hour services.
