Edo State Governor Okpebholo appoints 4,800 aides

Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo has approved the appointment of 4,800 special assistants to strengthen grassroots governance and deepen the participation of All Progressives Congress (APC) members in his administration.

During a meeting with APC leaders and members from the state's 18 local government areas in Benin City, the governor explained that the appointments are intended to ensure government programs and development opportunities reach the ward level. The plan involves appointing 25 special assistants to each of the 192 wards across the state.

Okpebholo stated that the decision recognizes the collective effort of party members during the recent electoral victory, noting that the success belongs to the party as a whole rather than to him alone. APC State Chairman Jarret Tenebe commended the governor for repositioning the party and creating opportunities for members to participate in governance.
