Edo State Governor Okpebholo pledges steady funding for road projects

Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo has pledged to provide steady funding and support to contractors working on road projects across the state. The commitment aims to ensure significant progress on these infrastructure developments before the Christmas period.

During an inspection of the Arue-Uromi-Agbor road projects in the Esan North East Local Government Area, Okpebholo noted that while the rainy season has limited certain construction activities, work is continuing with a primary focus on drainage systems. The governor stated that the administration will release funds to contractors as resources become available to sustain momentum.

According to Michel Aoy, Area Manager of Setraco Nigeria Ltd., the Irrua-Uromi bypass road is designed to include street lighting, a central concrete barrier, and a width of nine metres on each side.
