Edo State Governor Okpebholo swears in new commission leaders

Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo has sworn in new leadership for two state commissions at the Government House in Benin.

Terry Igiebor was appointed Chairman of the Ecological Funding and Management Commission, joined by member Prof. David Osifo. Additionally, Dr. Shittu Shaibu was sworn in as Chairman of the Edo State Electricity Regulatory Commission, alongside members Thomas Inegbedion, Abdulrask Abubakar, Alex Oniawu, and Patrick Iluobe.

During the ceremony, Governor Okpebholo emphasized the heavy responsibilities facing the new appointees, particularly regarding rural electrification and the need for policies that attract stakeholder investment. He urged the members to remain dedicated to achieving common goals for the people of Edo. In response, the new chairmen pledged to apply their expertise to support the governor’s SHINE AGENDA and improve the state’s electricity sector.
