Edo Wonderland Nikko Edomura to launch direct bus from Tokyo Yaesu

A new direct express bus service, the ‘Yaesu Nikko Line’, will launch on September 19, 2026, connecting Tokyo Yaesu Bus Terminal directly to Edo Wonderland Nikko Edomura. The service is a collaborative effort between Jidaimura Co., Ltd., Goryo Bus, and KKday JAPAN.

The route aims to eliminate the need for multiple transfers via train and local buses, which has previously been a barrier for tourists traveling from Tokyo to the Nikko area. The service will operate once daily in each direction from September 19 through November 30, 2026, coinciding with the autumn foliage season and the Silver Week holidays.

Tickets are priced at 4,000 yen for adults and 2,000 yen for children. Reservations can be made through KKday or at the Tokyo Yaesu Bus Terminal ticket counters. The initiative is intended to boost regional tourism by providing easier access for both domestic travelers and international tourists visiting Japan.
