Edoardo Affini extends Visma | Lease a Bike contract until 2029

Italian cyclist Edoardo Affini has signed a three-year contract extension with Visma | Lease a Bike, securing his position with the team until the end of the 2029 season. The 30-year-old specialist has been with the Dutch formation since 2021.

Affini is recognized for his versatility as a rouleur and time-trial specialist. He has played a significant role in the team's recent successes, including contributing to victories in team time trials at the Tour de France and the Tour Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. His recent performances include a third-place finish in the stage 5 time trial of the 2025 Tour de France.

Marc Reef, the team's Director of Racing, described Affini as an ‘important pillar’ of the squad, praising his physical abilities, intelligence, and professionalism. Affini expressed satisfaction with the renewal, noting that the extension reflects the mutual trust built over his six seasons with the team.
