Edoardo Bove documentary to premiere at Rome Film Fest

The documentary ‘In un battito’, directed by Giovanni Troilo, will be presented at the 2026 Rome Film Fest in the Special Screening section. The film follows the journey of footballer Edoardo Bove following a medical emergency on December 1, 2024, during a Fiorentina-Inter match where he collapsed on the pitch.

Bove, who is currently part of the Watford squad in England, describes the film as an exploration of his inner journey and an attempt to transform a personal experience into a message for others. The documentary examines his life both on and off the field, addressing his desire to return to professional football and his search for identity beyond his athletic role. The film is scheduled for a cinema release in November 2026, distributed by 01 Distribution.
