Edremit to host cultural and arts festival in August
Edremit Mayor Mehmet Ertaş has announced an extensive program of cultural, artistic, and traditional events scheduled to take place from August 16 to September 9.
The event lineup includes the 8th Edremit Book Fair, the traditional Sarıkız Hayrı wrestling event, and celebrations for August 30 Victory Day. Additionally, the program will feature World Peace Day activities, a traditional circumcision festival, and commemorations for the 104th anniversary of Edremit's liberation from occupation.
During the announcement, Mayor Ertaş addressed recent forest fires in the region, expressing condolences to affected citizens and urging the public to remain vigilant against future fire risks.
