Eduard Danilof appointed commander of CSA Steaua

Colonel Eduard Danilof has been officially appointed as the commander (president) of the Army Sports Club (CSA) Steaua, effective October 1, 2026. Danilof had been leading the club in an acting capacity since October 2025.

With nearly 30 years of experience in the Ministry of National Defence, Danilof has specialized in military heritage and infrastructure administration. Prior to his leadership role at the club, he coordinated the administration of the Steaua Stadium.

Addressing the current challenges facing the club, Danilof acknowledged supporter dissatisfaction and expressed a preference for action over promises. He stated that Steaua București deserves “seriousness, balance and, above all, facts.” The club currently competes in Liga 2, holding 18th place with 5 points after 8 rounds.
