Eduard Fernández stars in new film ‘Lo Vent’ filmed in Delta de l'Ebre

Director Marcel Barrena and actor Eduard Fernández have begun filming their new movie, ‘Lo Vent’, in the Delta de l'Ebre. The production is currently taking place in the Illa de Buda within the Parc Natural del Delta de l’Ebre.

Inspired by the real-life figure Guillermo Borés, the film follows Mateo, a determined rice farmer played by Fernández, who is obsessed with saving the island from the encroaching sea by constructing a barrier. The story explores environmental crises through the lens of a ‘small hero’ fighting against overwhelming natural elements.

Nora Navas stars alongside Fernández as Rocío, the manager of the rice farm estate. The film marks the third collaboration between Barrena and Fernández, following ‘Mediterráneo’ and ‘El 47’.
