Eduardo Bolsonaro dismissed from Federal Police for job abandonment
The Brazilian Ministry of Justice and Public Security has officially dismissed Eduardo Bolsonaro from his position as a Federal Police clerk. The decision, published in the Official Gazette on September 21, 2026, follows an administrative disciplinary process that concluded he committed the infraction of abandonment of office by failing to report for duty for more than 30 consecutive days without justification.
Bolsonaro, a former federal deputy for São Paulo, had been on leave from the Federal Police to serve in the Chamber of Deputies.
