Eduardo Chapolin to make UFC debut at UFC 330

Brazilian fighter Eduardo ‘Chapolin’ Henrique is set to make his UFC debut at UFC 330 this weekend, stepping in on extremely short notice. Henrique accepted the bout to face American Charles Johnson in the flyweight division after Jose Ochoa was forced to withdraw due to an injury sustained during sparring.

Because of the minimal preparation time, the match will be fought at a catchweight. Henrique, a former LFA flyweight champion with a four-fight winning streak, is a product of the ‘Maquininha do Futuro’ social project in São José do Rio Preto, which uses sports as a tool for social inclusion.

His addition brings the total number of Brazilian athletes competing at UFC 330 to seven, joining fighters such as Mackenzie Dern, Edson Barboza, and Vicente Luque.
