Eduardo Groh Riemersma, animal rights activist, dies in Argentina
Eduardo Groh Riemersma, widely known as ‘El Polaco’ or ‘Paco’, has passed away in Bandera, Santiago del Estero. He was a prominent animal rights activist and the founder of the refuge ‘El Montecito de los Canichones’.
Throughout his life, Groh Riemersma dedicated himself to rescuing various animals, including dogs, cats, donkeys, and turtles, providing them with food, medical care, and shelter. His work was noted for bringing visibility to the issues of animal abandonment and abuse in the region.
Following his funeral, his brother Gerardo Groh Riemersma honored his legacy, highlighting the team Eduardo had built to continue the mission. Gerardo emphasized his brother's core belief that every living being, regardless of its condition, deserves care and protection.
