Eduardo Jordá releases new lyrical essay on Bob Dylan

Writer and poet Eduardo Jordá has released a new book titled ‘Número cero. Bob Dylan: retrato de un hombre invisible’ (Number Zero. Bob Dylan: Portrait of an Invisible Man), published by Libros del Asteroide.

Rather than a traditional biography, the work is described as a lyrical and indirect approach to the enigmatic musician. Jordá aims to capture the magnetism Dylan has exerted on Western generations since the 1960s, treating the artist as a romantic, almost mythic figure rather than a strictly documented subject.

The title ‘Number Zero’ stems from an anecdote where Dylan reportedly told Leonard Cohen that while Cohen was ‘number one,’ Dylan was ‘number zero’—a reference to the enigma and essential nature of the number zero. Jordá explores the paradox of an artist who constantly seeks to hide his true identity while remaining inextricably linked to his public presence.
