Eduardo López Feoli wins José Hierro International Poetry Prize

Uruguayan poet Eduardo López Feoli has been awarded the XXXVII José Hierro International Poetry Prize. His winning work, titled ‘Lo que siguió sirviendo’, was selected by a jury for its unique perspective on everyday objects and human routines through the lens of memory.

The award, organized by the San Sebastián de los Reyes City Council in collaboration with RTVE, includes a prize of 9,000 euros. Additionally, the poetry collection will be published by the editorial house Ya lo dijo Casimiro Parker with an initial print run of at least 300 copies.

Jury member Olvido García Valdés described the collection as a text of great lyrical depth. López Feoli, based in Montevideo, holds a degree in Physical Education and is currently studying Education and Philosophy at the University of the Republic.
