Eduardo Marrero and Sheila Sánchez win Triple Corona Illas Atlánticas swim

Eduardo Marrero Delgado and Sheila Sánchez Castillo won the first event of the 2026-2028 edition of the Triple Corona Illas Atlánticas. The 15-kilometer swim took place in the Vigo estuary, starting from Rodas Beach in Cíes and finishing at Ribeira Beach in Baiona.

Marrero Delgado, representing the Los Cristianos swimming club, finished with a time of 04:05:11. In the women's category, Sheila Sánchez Castillo of CN Thior Horadada took first place with a time of 04:26:11.

The event, organized by Atlantic Extrem Sports, featured approximately 170 swimmers from 11 different countries. Weather conditions were reported as excellent, with temperatures near 30°C and water temperatures around 18°C.
