Eduardo Rodriguez’s 100th win sparks Diamondbacks’ 8‑1 rout, highlighted by Corbin Carroll’s grand slam

Arizona pitcher Eduardo Rodriguez earned his 100th career victory as the Diamondbacks defeated the Los Angeles Angels 8‑1 at Chase Field in Phoenix. Rodriguez worked seven strong innings, allowing one run on six hits, striking out five and lowering his ERA to 2.45. His performance made him the ninth Venezuelan‑born pitcher to reach the milestone.

Corbin Carroll supplied the offensive punch with a two‑run grand slam in the second inning, his 13th homer of the season, giving Arizona a 5‑1 lead. The Diamondbacks added runs on a two‑run double by Ketel Marte, a triple from rookie Tommy Troy and other hits, while Angels starter Sam Aldegheri lasted only three innings, yielding six runs. The win gave Arizona a 38‑36 record and a series victory over Los Angeles.
