Education AI Utilization Association to host workshop on inquiry navigation

The Education AI Utilization Association (AIUEO), in collaboration with the Inquiry Promotion Organization (TAO), will hold an online workshop titled “The Role of Adults Supporting Learning in the AI Era: Experiencing the Perspective of an Inquiry Navigator” on November 7, 2026.

As generative AI expands the ways learners access information and ideas, the workshop aims to address the growing need for educators to support students in formulating their own questions and deepening their learning processes. Participants will learn fundamental approaches such as observation, listening, and questioning based on TAO’s inquiry navigator framework. The session will include role-playing exercises where participants practice eliciting insights from learners rather than providing immediate answers.

The event is designed for teachers, inquiry learning coordinators, boards of education, and free school staff. It serves as the first part of an “Inquiry x AI” series leading up to the “Education AI Summit ONLINE,” which is supported by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, scheduled for November 14.
