Education-Bir-Sen union conducts solidarity visits in Kahramanmaraş and Ankara

The Adana branch of the Education-Bir-Sen teachers' union travelled to Kahramanmaraş, meeting the local union leadership and the newly appointed provincial education director Turan Akpınar. The delegation visited Ayser Çalık Middle School, the site of a past attack, to honour the victims, and presented a commemorative plaque to the director.

Separately, the Nevşehir branch visited Ankara, where it met Police General Director Ali Fidan, AK Party MPs Süleyman Özgün and Emre Çalışkan, and union president Ali Yalçın, offering condolences on the recent loss of his father. The visits were described as strengthening inter‑institutional communication and advocating for education‑related concerns.
