Education Department to reinstate mandatory reading in baccalaureate

The Department of Education is set to reinstate mandatory reading requirements for Catalan and Spanish languages in the first and second years of baccalaureate. This move comes two years after such requirements were previously eliminated.

Under the new policy, all public and subsidized schools and institutes must implement a specific reading plan. The effectiveness of these plans will depend on the individual curricula established by each educational center.
