Education Minister Ute Eiling-Hütig Shares Her School Journey

Ute Eiling-Hütig, who has been Rhineland‑Palatinate's education minister for roughly five weeks, recounted her own school experience. She attended school in North Rhine‑Westphalia, recalling sport, music and art as favourite subjects and highlighting a passion for chemistry in the upper grades.

She noted that she performed best in subjects where she liked the teachers, took mathematics and Latin as her advanced courses, and completed her Abitur with a grade around 2.0. Eiling‑Hütig later studied ancient history, classical archaeology and medieval history at the University of Münster.
